Doujinshi
Doujinshi (pronounced "doe-jeen-shee")
are essentially comics made by Japan fans. In Japan, aspiring artists
and fans love to share their love for a show, movie or game and they
create their own stories based off one of these genres. Doujinshi are
self-produced, either by one artist or a group working
together. The bigger groups are called "circles". Contents of a book can be humorous, cute, serious or even
naughty.
The doujinshi that appear on this
page are for reference only. Some of these books contain mature
themes; proceed at your own discretion or please go elsewhere. If you haven't played a particular
game, there may be spoilers ahead.

Circle: Buzzard
Title: Let's Chill Out
Genre: Comedy
Rating: PG-13
Main character(s): Dante, Trish, Lucia
Game: DMC2
|
| Trish doesn't
make a real appearance in the game, so she makes her own here. She
chases after Dante and finds him being a babe magnet, much to her
annoyance. Lucia daydreams in Dante's office as she waits for him to
return from his DMC2 adventures, and gets a surprise when she goes
out to meet him.
Final remarks: This is an
interesting doujinshi because most of it is wordless, so even
non-Japanese readers can understand what's going on.

Circle: Dangozaka
Title: Zero
Genre: Comedy
Rating: PG-13
Main character(s): all cast
Game: DMC
|
| Short stories
are the key in this book. A couple stories feature Eva and Sparda,
but most of them are focused on Dante's adventures on Mallet Island.
One silly story has Dante going through Secret Mission 9, where he
has to jump the staircase of Sargassos to reach the blue orb
fragment at the top. He jumps at the fragment and cries in joy.
However, his excitement is short-lived as he plummets to the
ground.
Another story takes place
after the game, and it has Trish looking at Dante's collection of
demon heads tacked up on his office walls. She comments on them and
Dante rummages through a huge sack of treasures and proudly pulls out another
head...Vergil's. >_< Trish freaks out!
Final remarks: Uh, yeah,
that severed Vergil head creeped me out! Now I'm one step
closer to imagining Dante as a psychopath. *shudders*

Circle: Ebony & Ivory
Title: Super Charger
Genre: Drama
Rating: R
Main character(s): Dante, Trish
Game: DMC2 |
| Dante confronts
Arius for one last showdown and wins. After the battle, Dante
remembers an earlier memory of saying goodbye to a sad Trish. Lucia
walks up to him and the two talk. He leaves and is greeted by a
welcoming Trish. She's glad to have him back and they make love. No
gratuity is shown.
Final remarks: There is a pretty good mix of action scenes and serious moments.
I think Dante talks more on these pages than he does in the entire
DMC2 game!

Circle: Moon Lake
Title: Day After Day
Genre: Drama
Rating: PG-13
Main character(s): Dante, Trish
Game: DMC |
| Trish and Dante
talk in Dante's office while he is cleaning his sword. Something is
bothering Trish, but Dante cheers her up. He jokes with her and soon
they kiss... and the phone rings. They receive a job and gear up.
Final remarks: A very sweet
story. There are no fight sequences, but the cute moments make up for them. It's now possible to imagine what Trish looks like
in regular clothes instead of her cleavage-baring leather top.
