This section is all about the flat and colorful blocks of paper known as books. The ones listed on this page are written in Japanese unless specified. Most of the books for the series are usually strategy guides, but there are a couple that aren't.

DEVIL MAY CRY

~ BradyGames DMC strategy guide ~

The North American strategy guide for the game. There is a walkthrough, as well as a weapon, enemy, item and style data. There is a pull-out poster included inside.

~ Memorial Album - Precious Tears ~

This book features detailed gaming sequences along with tips and comments. Also contains a video game creator section. The book features 191 pages in color with many screenshots and CG artwork.

~ Dissection ~

This book includes system guide, enemy guide, maps, and more. It has 320 pages.

~ The Strongest Devil Hunter ~

This book contains character profiles, battle manual, mission guide, enemy files, and secret files. There are 129 pages in almost all color.

~ Graphic Edition ~

Unlike the strategy guides, this book is an art book. There are some great pictures including character art in both sketched and CG form, background art, and weapon details. There are even a few storyboard panels used for the game. There is a merchandise section showing various goods which were (unfortunately) only available in Japan. Staff photos and interviews are also present and the text is naturally written in Japanese. The book has 120 pages. As a bonus, there is a foldout poster of Dante inside the book.

Japan's strategy guide for the DMC2 game. Contains information about mission completion, enemy files, and secret rooms.

~ The Strongest Devil Hunter (Dante) ~

A guide that gives tips on finishing missions with S rankings, as well as maps and tips for defeating enemies and bosses. This guide is for Dante's game. The book has 128 pages in color.

~ The Strongest Devil Hunter (Lucia) ~

A guide that gives tips on finishing missions with S rankings, as well as maps and tips for defeating enemies and bosses. This guide is for Lucia's game. The book has 128 pages in color.

This guide uses screenshots to build its maps. Information about items and secret missions are here, along with location guides, enemies guide, S-rank guide, and styles guides. The book has 216 pages in color.

~ The Complete Master ~

This guide focuses on analyzing how to beat every mission to achieve a S rank with each available style. Recommendations are given on the best style to use for each mission. There are 240 pages in color.

~ DMC3 Official Guide book ~

This book includes maps, a S-rank guide, a secret missions guide, and an enemies guide. Book has 240 pages in color.
